We recommend a regular check of your jewelry. Due to heat and cold influences, the gold can stretch and contract, which can cause the clasp to come loose.
Make sure that makeup, cosmetics as well as hair lacquer, powder, perfumes, deodorants, sunscreen or similar, do not get on the jewelry.
Store your gold jewelry individually in a jewelry box, preferably in a soft cloth to avoid scratches.
The best way to remove sweat and the finest dirt particles is with a soft, lint-free cloth. For heavier soiling, we also recommend warm water and light soap. Use a sponge or cloth as an aid. We do not recommend the use of hard toothbrushes. Jewelry should never be cleaned with chemicals.
Gold jewelry oxidizes with oxygen and can become discolored. Therefore, do not store your jewelry in damp areas (such as the bathroom) because it can accelerate oxidation.
Giada Ilardo offers its customers to bring their gold jewelry once a year to have it cleaned. This is - of course - free of charge.
